Mangalore:The state minister for Urban Development Sri Vinay Kumar Sorake said that KUDCEMP Pase2 will be implimened in Mangalore and the state government has allotted 522 cores for the same.




He was speaking to the media persons in the “interaction with the media” session held in the press club of Mangalore.
He said “Even tough the KUDCEMP phase-1 has not been completed, the Phase2 will be implemented soon and it will cover the 2nd drinking water dam at Thumbay.”
He also said that the restrictions of the NURM project has been released and it will be implemented in Mangalore and Udupi.
The NURM project will aim at providing transportation within the city and will aim at running world class buses in the city.
The minister further said that steps would be taken to upgrade Tumkur, Shimoga and Gulbarga into city corporations. He also stated that villages having a population of above 10,000 will be upgraded to ton panchayat’s.
He also said that he alomg with the other three ministers of the coastal region will submit a memorandum to the CM to confer Karnataka Ratna Award to eminent writer, scholar and Kannada activist Kayyara Kinhanna Rai.
