Mangalore : The Department of Dermatology, KMC Hospital, Manipal and Special interest Group (SIG) Pemphigus (Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy/IADVL) will organize a two-day international workshop on “immunobullous diseases” at Dr TMA Pai hall, Manipal starting August 3.
This workshop will enable the participants to get exposure to the latest advances in diagnostic and treatment strategies of “immunobullous diseases”,sources said.
Dr Colonel M Dayananda, medical superintendent and COO, KMC Hospital, said that immunobullous diseases are a group of blistering skin conditions that are relatively common in clinical practice. Incorrect diagnosis and improper treatment may be associated with potential mortality. Latest advances in diagnostic and treatment strategies will be discussed during the meeting, he said.
The workshop will throw light on the recent trends in diagnosis and management of these difficult to treat cases. More than 100 dermatologists from Karnataka, as well as Goa, Kerala, and Maharashtra will attend the workshop.
Reputed researchers from UK and India will be the resource persons.
