Kerala ready for polls; Curtains down on campaigns

Kasargod: Public campaign for general elections in Kerala which will be held on May 16 has come to an end on Saturday.

Elections will be held in 140 assembly constituencies including 5 from Kasargod.

On the last day of public campaigning all the political parties aggressively went on talking about their plans and manifesto to the voters.

Indian Union Muslim League candidate N L Nellikunnu held a rally at new bus stand area, BJP candidate Raveesh Tantri was in Mulleriya, Indian National League candidate A A Amin’s public rally was held at P B ground.

Manjeshwara IUML candidate P B Abdul Razzak organised rally at Uppala, INL candidate C H Kunchambu and BJP candidate K Surendran held rally at Kuble.
A total of 26 public rallies were held on Saturday alone.

Security was stepped up in the region to make way for peaceful campaiging.
