Kateel, Karandalaje to raise Yettinahole issue in Parliament

Mangaluru: With Yettinahole backlog still haunting the state, DK MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Shobha Karandalaje have said that they will raise the issue in the Parliament and also take a delegation to meet the Union ministers concerned.

Addressing reporters at the BJP office on Saturday, December 5, Kateel said that they have both informed Minister for Water Resources Uma Bharti and Minister for Environment Prakash Javdekar about the issue and will be meeting them soon.

Speaking about the upcoming MLC polls, Kateel said that despite a provision to announce two candidates for each constituency, the BJP will field Kota Srinivas Poojary in Udupi-Dakshina Kannada.

There are lots of speculations going on about the candidate for the said constituency, Kateel said clearing confusion by stating that even as four people are claiming that they are aspirants for the ticket, the party has decided to field sitting MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary and that the candidate will file his nominations on December 9.

The BJP has announced candidates for 12 seats in the state, while remaining will be announced soon, he said.
