Karnataka Bank inaugurates 700th Money Plant ATM at Kadri

Mangalore: The inauguration of 700th money plant ATM of Karnataka Bank Ltd was held at ‘Premier Square’ building in Nanthoor Junction, Kadri, on Monday, March 31.

The ATM Centre was inaugurated by Prof B M Hegde, Padmabushan Awardee, Cardiologist and former vice chancellor of Manipal University. He also withdrew the first cash from the ATM in the presence of P Jayaram Bhat, Chairman and Managing Director of Karnataka Bank, Ananthakrishna, Ex-officio Chairman of the Bank and others.

A formal function was inaugurated by  the Bank Chairman P Jayaram Bhat  by lighting the auspicious lamp along with  Ananthakrishna, Belman Vittal Thantri, Proprietor of the building, his son Satish B and others.

Prof B M Hegde who addressed the gathering, said  Banks  must accord top priority to customer service and  added  Karnataka Bank has been successful in this endeavour.

Delivering the key note address, P Jayaram Bhat said the bank has reached a annual turnover of Rs 70,000 crores this year and plans to  achieve a target of Rs 80,000 crores in the next financial year. The 700th ATM has been inaugurated on the auspicious day of Ugadi,he said and informed that the Bank has opened 200 new ATMs in the current financial year.

In his presidential address, Ananthakrishna said  Karnataka Bank through its various products and schemes aims at  helping its customers lead a better life in the society.
