Karnataka Bank develops park at SP office premises

Mangaluru: The garden that was languishing outside SP’s office got a new lease of life, thanks to Karnataka Bank.

The newly laid garden at a cost of Rs 5 lac under CSR fund of the Karnataka Bank was inaugurated by Managing Director of Karnataka Bank, P Jayaram Bhat, here at the SP office premises on Monday, April 4.
Later, both SP Sharanappa S D and P Jayaram Bhat planted saplings.

Addressing the gathering Jayaram Bhat said that cleanliness needs to be an integral part of any place.
He said that the SP first brought to them a proposal of reviving the garden under the CSR fund, to which the Bank responded positively.

Bhat said that over Rs 6 crore has been given to various causes under the CSR fund.
SP Sharanappa said that the Karnataka Bank has not just developed the garden, but has also provided materials like barricades and traffic umbrella worth Rs 5 lac. Karnataka Bank is one of major emerging bank in private sector.

Bank PRO Srinivas Deshpande and others were present at the occasion.
