Mangalore: An inter-school workshop on ‘Patriotism and National Pride’ to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas was organized by Lions Club Mangalore, Centre for Integrated Learning and DK District Ex-Servicemen’s Association here on Saturday July 26.

H S Manjunath, District Governor of Lions Club, Col N S Bhandary, President of DK District Ex-Servicemen’s Association and Rtd Air Vice Marshal Ramesh Karnik addressed the audience on the occasion.

ZP CEO Tulasi Maddineni who was present as a chief guest, said India has a not-so friendly relations with its neighbours. Even as India engages in dialogues with China, the latter circulates maps showing Arunachal Pradesh in its territory. The nation should be powerful if it has to tackle such problems efficiently, she added.

On the occasion Bhagwan Shetty from the Indian Army was felicitated in the presence of Sub. Harish Kumar.
