Mangalore : A Kannada lecturer of a private college in Vamanjoor has been sexually accusing a PU student over the last one year. The lecturer is identified as Harish Acharya from a well known college located here in Vamanjoor.

Reports said that the girl used to receive obscene messages and the lecturer, who also attempted to touch her whenever she was alone. She was even asked to stay in the college after class by him.

The incident came to know when the girl tried to commit suicide  on Monday July 21.

The parents of the girl have complained to the Kankanady police and  investigation is on. It has come to light, that the lecturer is absconding.
