Mangaluru: RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat has started another controversy by asking the public to disregard the model code of conduct for elections.

He was addressing the protesters gathered at the indefinite hunger strike, organised under the leadership of T G Jayaram Bhat in Kairangala, against the cattle theft reported at Amruthadhare Gauashrama in Punyakotinagara.

Responding to a query from the audience about the model code of conduct, Kalladka Bhat said, “Disregard the model election code of conduct. It is a committee which doesn’t have morals.”

He also said that the people who rule the state are worse than Moghuls and British. “There are efforts going on to destroy the Hindu religion and its culture. Indefinite hunger strike is a intellectual conflict to obtain the justice. Indefinite strike is not to obtain votes, but it is a struggle for truth and values of life”, he proclaimed.

“Till the bad politics prevails, there will be no respect for seers and no protection for girls and cattle. The anti-Hindu party should wiped out”, he added.

Bhat also defended his controversial remarks about cleansing of temples visited by the State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader.
