Manipal. April 2: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam today delivered his speech at T A Pai Management Institute at Manipal, and he addressed the 28th convocation programme.

He proceeded with the Provision of Urban Amenities to Rural Areas (PURA) is a strategy for rural development in India.

Citing several examples of the eminent people who won Nobel Prize in past era, Kalam encouraged and urged students to set vision for their life.

“I have always perceived conflict mind at under different situations, what is important is vision, mission and complex personality,” he uttered.

He urged the students that ‘when you grow set a vision of your life to achieve success, for which always think about “what will I remembered for?”

Besides, he made sworn every student in regard of getting responsible towards the nation and creative in respect of the major fields such as agriculture, economy, social and political areas.

He also talked about the aspects of technology, the way it is leading a world; how the technology should be used utmost during economic slump in order to stable gross profit?

Moreover, he also opined on equal distribution of available resources, use of adequate facilities, corruption free nation, healthy public, terrorism free society etc.
He added that there are five eminent areas where a nation should be expertise with: Agriculture, education, information, technology and environment.

Kalam’s interative session at SMVITM 

In an interactive section at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management SMVITM by the Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, he urged the students, “To cast their votes responsibly and encourage their parents, teachers and neighbors to vote.”

He cites that invention and discovery comes from the creative mind only, “Always be an employment generator not a seeker.”

He said connection with the environment, economy and public can lead to a solution for a global dilemma. H further quoted, “Tough teacher make good student and tough situation make a strong man.”

He talked about the wide range of topics such as on convergence of technology with information, bio techniques, and manual techniques and now a new concept joined is called ecology.

Further, he made student to take oath on integrity towards nation and corruption free country.
