Mangaluru: The four-day horticulture and floriculture show, which will begin at Kadri Park from Saturday, will feature a flower model of Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), according to Yogesh H.R, Deputy Director, department of Horticulture.

He told the reporters here that the MOM model would be made out of over 12,000 Dutch roses, carnations, lilies and other flowers.
Besides, there will be variety of flowers such as marigold, cosmos, celosia, pentas and canna. In addition to it, the department has also grown bottle gourd, ride gourd, bitter gourd, raidsh, spinach, pumpkin, including other vegetables for the show.
He also said that there will be at least 75 stalls, which would sell seeds of vegetables, plants and saplings.
Mr. Yogesh informed that the visitors (Rs 10 for adults and Rs 5 for children) would have to pay to see the exhibition. The show would be on from 10am to 9pm from Sunday. The show might cost Rs 7 to 8 lakh. The surplus amount, if collected, would go to Siri Totagarike Sangha, an association of horticulture and floriculturists, supported by the department.
