Kadri Park to become Wine venue of Mangaluru from Nov 26 to 28

Mangaluru: The Port City is all set to host ‘Mangaluru Wine Festival’ at Kadri Park from Saturday to Monday, November 26 to 28.

Kadri Park gets a new gate costing Rs 29 lakh-1The event organised by Department of Horticulture and Karnataka Wine Board under Karnataka Grape Processing and Wine Policy-2007 will witness participation by as many as 12 wineries showcasing over 150 brands at the venue.

The highlight of the event will be ‘grape stampede’, where visitors, especially kids will be given a chance to crush grapes at the venue at 7 pm on all the three days. Other aspects of the event are demonstrations, exhibition and sale of wine at 10% discount.

Wine Board chairman Ravindra Shankara Mirje in a news conference said that besides, wineries, food courts to facilitate food pairing with wine, music, entertainment and cultural programmes will also be held as part of the festival.
