Mangaluru: Working Journalists Association paid condolences to late Humaid Hussain today at Press Club.
“His death shook all of us. Hussain was sincere in his work and highly dedicated person. He will be always remembered for his creative writings,” said Senior Journalist Harish Rai.
Ravi Kamil said “he was so happy about his transfer to Raichur. He was supposed to report to duty on May 2 at Raichur. But this incident has stunned us”.
Vaartha Bharati journalist Sathya said that he was very excited about the trekking. As they climbed the hill, he had severe chest pain so he couldn’t continue with rest of the people. Further his condition got worse.
His trekking mates immediately tried to bring him down and admitted to the Belthangady hospital, but till then it was late.
It may be recalled that on April 8, Hussain along with other journalists and environmentalists had been to Charmadi Ghats as part of a trek organized to study the recent forest fire incidents in the region.
