Mangaluru: Pre-monsoon showers have finally hit the city which gave temporary relief from the scorching heat.

The downpour, which started in the morning however, caught thousands of students and people returning home from work or shopping unawares in the city till noon.

The pre-monsoon showers may be an indicator of the actual monsoon.

With the onset of pre-monsoon rains complaints about poor road conditions are on the rise. Waterlogging at many parts of the city, has become a common sight. Two-wheelers and pedestrians are finding it difficult to travel through such roads. Waterfilled potholes are a threat to commuters as well.
