Irresponsible college staff; students protest on prejudice

Bantwal: The students of the Polytechnic College in association with the ABVP protested agitating over the torture endured by them due to the ill behavior of the college administration, on Wednesday August 27.

 

The students alleged that the Vice Principal Dr Chinnagiri Gowda and lecturer Tejaswini have been mentally torturing them. The students also demanded suspension or transfer of the lecturers.

According to the sources there has been some kind of personal rivalry among the college administration, which has been reasoned behind the peculiar behavior of the lecturers and the vice principal.

Allegedly the students said that, “The cold fight among the Lecturers of the college from last few days, has put our future in trouble. They do not care to take classes even as exams are approaching, while our year is at stake”, they added.

They said, “That the attitude of the lecturers has become very arrogant and they literally throw our bags or tear our books for silly mistakes as well.”

Out of obligation towards the teachers, students were silent and did not retaliate, however they had brought the issue to the notice of principal, but in vain.

The angered students also disputed over a Lecturer who had called a student named Jithesh, a ‘goonda’ for joining protest along with a student’s organization few days back.

Claiming these irregularities the students protested against them along with their parents.
