Inter-state thieves arrested in Kasargod

Kasargod: The police have arrested two persons belonging to an inter-state thieves group here on Monday. They have been allegedly involved in many theft cases across the state.

The arrested are identified as Askar Ali(23), a resident of Nellikatte and Javed (26) from Cherkala.

The police have seized an Omni van and an auto rickshaw used for robbery. They have also recovered a home theater system stolen from a cloth showroom in Bovikkana.

Another accused,  Asru alias Mohammadali (27) who is also involved in this theft case, is already behind the bars.

These thieves were involved in theft cases reported in a temple and the Badiyadka church. They had also robbed cash from Baladka Vanitha Society and Rs 50000 from a poultry shop.

These arrested are also booked in theft cases reported in the neighboring state of Karnataka.
