Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Police have nabbed one inter-state ganja peddler and confiscating 51 kg of ganja worth Rs 10 lakh.

The arrested is identified as Moideen Nawaz (29), a resident of Uppala in Kasaragod.

Addressing a press meet on Thursday August 4, police commissioner Chandra Sekhar said that police have seized a Toyota Innova car with Kerala registration number along with the 51.7 kgs of ganja. Nawaz was chased by the police and arrested near Natekal cross under Konaje police limits, he said.

He further stated that Nawaz was transporting the ganja in the car from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh for distribution in Mangaluru and Kasaragod.
