Belthangady: Dr Dharmasthala Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala has invited all the Karnataka MPs for a meeting to discuss the inclusion of Tulu language in the Eighth Schedule.

The meeting, scheduled to be held on December 7 at the Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi, will be attended by a few members of the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy. A delegation had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh on August 31 and the meeting on December 7 is said to be a continuation to the delegation. The delegation had also spoken of the 2,800-year history of Tulu.

According to sources, both the Prime Minster and Home Minister had assured of fulfilling the requests of the delegation.
