Illegal cattle business; two held

Bantwal: Two persons who were involved in illegal cattle transportation have been arrested by the Bantwal police here on Sunday.

Mohammad Sharif a resident of Makve in Puttur and Abdul Rahiman from Kedila were arrested here at a place called Jakribettu on Sunday.

It is alleged that the cattle traffickers stole two cows from a cattle shed in Belthangady.

The local Hindu organisation activists informed police about the cattle transportation. A team of policemen stopped the vehicle near Jakribettu and accused were caught.

The accused have been sent to police custody.
