Mangaluru: In the early hours of today, income tax (I-T) officials carried out a raid at the Abharan jewelry store situated in Shivabagh near Kadri, Mangaluru. A team comprising five to six I-T officials conducted a thorough inspection of the jewelry premises and confiscated billing records and various gold-related documents.

The jewelry enterprise, owned by Subhash Kamath and Mahesh Kamath, operates a total of 14 jewelry outlets within the state of Karnataka and one in Goa. Their jewelry stores can be found in diverse locations, including Belthangady in Dakshina Kannada district, Shivabagh in Mangaluru, Kottara, and several other places in Udupi.
