Bantwal: The district police led by the Superintendent of Police are making elaborate security arrangements to prevent untoward incidents as the Nation’s 70th Independence day is fast approaching.

A police team led by SP Bhushan J.Borase went around important locations like bus-stand, railway stations, court premises and places of tourist importance in Bantwal on Aug 11 to ensure no untoward incident takes place during the next few days.

The district police are carrying out extensive security checks across the district to monitor the situation in the aftermath of blasts in the Mysuru city court premises

It may be recalled a school boy and three others escaped with minor injuries when a bomb exploded inside the bathroom of Mysuru District Court at 4:10 pm August 1.
