Karkala: The accused who killed his wife in a gruesome manner and then hanged her body to make it seem like a suicide, could not escape the clutches of law as he was finally nabbed and sent to judicial custody.

Harish Panara (36) was arrested from his residence by a team led by police sub-inspector Rafeeq of Karkala rural police station. Forensic reports confirmed that his wife, Kantavara Geetha, 26 was killed by him on June 23. He was produced before the town JMFC court which remanded him to judicial custody till July 12th.

It may be recalled that the accused hung his wife’s body after strangling her to death. On suspicion, the police referred the case to forensic department which after analysis found that the victim was killed and did not commit suicide.
