Sullia: In a tragic incident, a person was killed when a huge tree fell on a moving lorry on Monday, June 27 near Vodabai, Sullia town.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed (40) who was driving the lorry. The brother Savvad (25) suffered injured and is admitted at Mangaluru hospital.

Mohammed is a resident of Pallathur in Eeshwaramangala near Puttur.

The lorry was said to be plying from Puttur to Sullia. Commuters were stuck for an hour due to the accident.

Sullia police visited the spot and retrieved the body along with locals.
