Bantwal: Hindutva activists staged a protest in front of Vittal Police station, expressing their displeasure with a Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) for removing a ‘Bhagwa Dhwaj’ (saffron flag) from Mangalapadavu in Veerakamba village.

The saffron flag was allegedly removed by the PDO after it was hoisted without permission.

A tense situation prevailed in the area as two groups engaged in a verbal argument over the issue.

After the flag was hoisted again, the problem was solved.
