Mangalore : The Hindu Samrsakshana Vedike staged a protest in front of the Mangalore Rural Police Station on November 6, Wednesday demanding arrest of all those responsible for the recent communal  clashes  at Mallur in Neermarga.

Addressing the  protestors, Harish Moodushedde, Taluk Panchayat  President  urged the police to arrest  the culprits immediately lest they themselves will have to trap them. He even suspected that the police were apathetic owing to political pressure.

Jagadish Shenava, VHP leader  warned that a Neermarga bandh call will be given if the police fail to arrest the accused within five days.  If that too fails to yield result, then a district wide agitation will be called, he said.

Several  Hindu leaders including Puneeth Pumpwell, Sharan Pumpwell, Pradeep Pumpwell, Veerappa, Bhujanga Kulal and others were present.

Police had maintained tight security to avert any untoward incident.
