Mangaluru: Condemning the death of BJP activist Paresh Mesta in Honnavar, the Hindu Hitharakshana Samithi held a protest here at DC office on December 20.
Addressing the gathering, VHP leader Jagadish Shenava said, “Though the Congress government has stated that Paresh Mesta’s death in Honnavar was natural. We do not believe it. He was brutally murdered by the people with ‘Jihadi’ mindset. Nearly 20 Hindu activists were killed by these so called Jihadis in the state, after the Congress government coming to the power. Hindu Samaj knows how to answer to these people, but they will never take law into hand. If peace and harmony in the district should be retained, the good people in Muslim community, should boycott those who have Jihadi mindset”, Shenava said.
Speaking on Priyanka, the girl from Moodabidri who went missing on December 9, Jagadish Shenava said, “By this Sunday the police should trace her. If not we will intensify our agitation in Moodabidri.”
BJP leader Monappa Bhandary speaking on the occasion said, “In the state after Congress came into power, more than 20 Hindus have been killed. Organisations like PFI, SDPI and KFD are threatening the government and the police department. The government has failed to ban them and indirectly supporting these organisations”, he alleged.
