Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Police detained a few activists of  Akhila Bharathiya Hindu Mahasabha for an alleged attempt to interrupt the programme, “Nudisiriya Dwani Alvarondige Navu” organised by the supporters of M Mohan Alva, from the field of art, literature, culture and sports here at Town Hall on August 10.

 

City Police had deployed a tight police security in the premises of town hall, on the information that  Akhil Bharathiya Hindu Mahasabha will be interrupting the programme.

 

The convention was organised to provide moral support to Dr. Mohan Alva, against the  alleged “conspiracy” to tarnish the image of Alva’s Education Foundation over the controversy on unnatural death of Kavya, a high school girl on July 20 in the institution.
