Mangaluru: Amid the Hijab vs Saffron shawl controversy that has erupted in Dakshina Kannada, ABVP activist claimed on Monday March 7 that he has been receiving death threats from strangers.

Recently, an argument erupted between a few students and the college Principal over the latter’s decision to allow Muslim students to sit for examinations while wearing a cloth around their head.

Following the incident, the college announced a holiday until the problem is resolved and normalcy is restored on campus.

A complaint has been filed at the city Cyber Crime Police Station.
