Mangaluru: While Mangalurueans may get some reprieve from the scorching heat due to the heavy downpour across the city last night, the rains also wreaked havoc at Babugudde in Attavara here.

An electric transformer, three electric poles and nearly four cars were damaged after a huge tree was uprooted owing to the rains.

The fire personnel along with the local police visited the spot.
