Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner (DC) has issued an ‘orange alert’ in the district following the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) prediction of heavy rainfalls over the next two days.

As per the IMD, there will be heavy rainfall on September 5 and 6. It is also expected that the district will receive good amount of rainfall till September 8. As the orange alert has already been announced in the district, DC S Sasikanth Senthil has instructed all nodal officers to be alert and monitor the situation.
