Mangalore : Various places in Dakshina Kannada including Mangalore have been experiencing heavy downpours since the past couple of days. Even Udupi district is receiving heavy downpour disrupting normal life to some extent. Heavy rains continue to lash Mangalore even on July 3, Wednesday.
There have been reports of damages to some houses in some parts of the district. In Ichlampady of Puttur, some plantations and houses have been damaged due to strong winds.
Subrahamanya, the famous pilgrim town of the district is also receiving heavy rains with several rivers including Kumaradhara overflowing. There have been reports of damage to some houses in Ullal too. It is learnt the house of one Sayyed Mohammad at Amblamogaru, Mariamma and Usman have been damaged due to heavy rains. In Konaje too a house was damaged.
Puttur, Sullia, Mulki, Moodbidri in DK district as well as Kundapur taluk in Udupi district too have been receiving heavy rains.
