Mangaluru: Well-known politician and social activist Haji Hameed Kandhak passed away due to cardiac arrest here on January 24.

Kandak (73) collapsed suddenly while speaking at a programme, organised by AHINDA Janachaluvali DK. Immediately he was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

He is survived by his wife and children.
