Mangalore: Thousands witnessed the end of Navarathri festival and Mangalore Dasara on Saturday, accompanied by at least 70 tableaux from across Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod districts, which started from Shree Gokarnatha Temple, Kudroli. Over 30,000 people are said to have witnessed the procession.

The procession covered the heart of the city, from Mannagudde to Lalbagh, K.S Rao road, Ganapathi high school road, lower Car Street, Alake and culminated at the Kudroli temple.
The cynosure of all eyes was the idols of Goddess Sharada and Navadurge, the celebration continued into the night with cultural, mythological and modern tableaux making their way to roaring applause across the city. The procession also features three tableaux by Kerala folk Academy.
Besides, a sizeable crowd thronged at Mangaladevi temple, to participate in the Navarathir celebration.
