Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, two persons died on the spot while one person was injured when the car in which they were travelling met with an accident at Kadikona enroute Goa-Mangaluru during the wee hours of Sunday, March 12.

The deceased has been identified as Santhosh Nayak, a resident of Mangaluru, a videographer by profession, and Charan an employee of Karnataka Bank.

Their co-traveler suffered minor injuries in the road accident. It is said that trio was plying back to Mangaluru from Goa to take part in the upcoming GPL cricket tourney bidding slated to be held on Sunday, March 12 in Mangaluru city.

Santhosh reportedly owns a team in GPL series while Charan was one of the players.
