Mangaluru: The city is full of cute, stray animals that pose no threat to anyone. Sadly, they are all ignored even though all they want is some affection and pats. Because they are incapable of speaking for themselves, animals need our protection. It ought to be something we are honorable and proud of. But since these helpless souls travel with us everywhere we go, we could do so much more for them if we could just carve out a few minutes from our hectic schedules. For them, merely surviving is the goal of every day. They are mistreated, driven away, and physically assaulted. And at the end of the day, a WARM HUG is all they require! We have to improve living conditions in this planet.
And fortunately for a few hundred of these stray animals, the Volunteers at ACT, who also happen to be Good Samaritans, are doing an amazing job of providing these animals with loving care. As they say, “A dog is a man’s best friend,” but in this case, it doesn’t seem like the men in Mangaluru City are doing much to help these stray animals. when keeping thousands of stray dogs or other animals in violation of the law results in inadequate protection or shelter from the elements, or when an animal is kept in a way that leaves it too exposed to the sun, rain, dust, heat, or other weather conditions.
