Kasargod: Goonda Act has been invoked against notorious rowdy-sheeter Kalia Rafiq (48), a resident of Mulimunda in Uppala.

He was arrested recently by the Manjeshwar Police in connection to a firing incident that took place in Uppal on Tuesday, December 29 between Kalia Rafiq and his rival gang members.

He has been sent to Kannur Central Jail.

Kalia Rafiq is wanted in as many as 40 cases including two murder cases.

There are possibilities of Goonda Act being invoked against Kasai Ali, an accomplice of Kalia Rafiq.
