Mangaluru: A teenager, who had lost hopes of reconciling with his family, has finally seen light at the end of the tunnel.

A young lad named Kumar from Ramgarh in Jammu, who started his journey to the South in an apple laden lorry as a cleaner witnessed an unexpected turn in life, after he got into a minor scuffle with the lorry driver.

The raged driver abandoned Kumar at an unidentified place and fled away leaving the young boy in lurch.
Clueless about his next move, Kumar reached Nagori in Mangaluru and made Amar Alva Bus Stand here his shelter.

Locals ignored the Kashmiri lad as he refused to mix around with the them. However, a local hotelier named Chandranna gave him food, but that is all what he could to do till a Good Samaritan spotted the boy and took up the challenge to unite the boy with his family.

With just a clue that the boy is from Ramgarh, his father’s name is Motilal and sister lives in Samba, this Good Samaritan contacted a local journalist who struck a conversation with the boy with the help of Press Club of India President Rahul Jalali who was in Mangaluru about a week ago.

The journalist then contacted Jammu Deputy Superintendent of Police S M Sanyal, which did not yield the expected result.

Finally the Good Samaritan makes an attempt to reach as many people as possible through whatsapp. Soon groups shared the picture of the boy and finally an employee of Shankar Industries in Jammu identifies Kumar.Within two days, Kumar’s brother Raj Kumar contacts the Good Samaritan.

On Wednesday, Raj Kumar was in Mangaluru along with his friend Vijay Chitra, a BSF soldier (who has also served in the National Security Guard for five years) arrived in Mangaluru.

With tears rolling on their cheeks, the two brother hugged each other as they had never thought that they would ever meet each other again. About 3,600 kms away from Kashmir, Kumar finds people who toil to reunite him with his family, without expecting any rewards.

The Kashmiri trio were all praises for the efforts put in my Good Samaritans of Mangaluru. The trio has left to Jammu on Thursday.
