Mangaluru: On Monday, April 27th, Customs officers at Mangaluru Internationl Airport held a 29-year-old man, whom they accused of carrying gold bars weighing about 187 gms under the seat of the aircraft in which he was travelling.

The gold bars were worth Rs: 50.55 Lakhs. The passenger has been identified as Mohammed Luqman Ahmed, a resident of Hyderabad.
The Jet Airways aircraft from Dubai in which he had traveled. The flight arrived at around 9.30 am on Monday.
Ahmed was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Mangaluru. Further investigation is under progress.
