Gold Seized at City’s International Airport

Customs officials at the city’s international airport seized 812 grams of gold valued at Rs 58,78,880 from a passenger arriving from Dammam on Thursday, April 11.

Unusual Concealment Method

During a routine metal detector test, officials detected a beep emanating from the passenger’s waist. Upon further inspection, gold in paste form was found concealed within three round-shaped objects in the passenger’s rectum. Subsequent extraction via a heating process revealed 812 grams of 24-carat gold.

Legal Proceedings

The accused has been presented in court for further legal proceedings.
