Kundapur :  The excise officials of Kundapur who acted on a tip off have seized    Goa liquor worth Rs  25000 which was being illegally transported in a bus from Goa to Mangalore. The Volvo AC bus of Paulo Travels has also been seized by the officials. Two persons have been arrested. The liquor was seized  at the Shiroor check post early morning on December 24, Tuesday.

The arrested are   Srinivas Murthy of Tumkur and Prakash Nayak from Goa. The liquor costed anywhere between Rs 100 and several thousands per bottle.

 There is information that illegal transportation of liquor was going on in the route since some time.

The raid was carried out by Excise sub-inspector Vinod Kumar , Kundapur excise inspector H Shanker and others.
