Ullal: A girl from Uttar Kannada who had come to a Ullal fish mill for work has mysteriously gone missing here on March 16.

Dondibai Chimanu Bajari (20), daughter of Babu Chimanu Bajari belonging to Siddhi community in Haliyala Rayapattna is the missing person.

The parents of the girl registered a missing complaint after their daughter did not return to her native place even for holi celebrations. She had not responded to their calls too. Their calls to Sunitha, a broker who had helped Dondibai get a job in fish mill eight months ago also vent in vain. Hence, they complained to the Haliyala police and later they approached Ullal police following instructions from Haliyala police.

It is learnt that Dondibai had even sent a text message to her brother not to search for her.

Now the speculation is that agent Sunitha might have a role in the missing case. Social activist Manual Siddhi has raised suspicion that the girl might be trapped with the human trafficking mafia and there could be many other girls from North Karnataka in a similar situation.
