Moodabidri: A teenager who came over to Arbikatte falls landed in watery grave on Sunday.

The deceased is Arfaaz, (19), son of Musthafa from Kinnipadau in Bajpe and student of Guideline Tutorials (II PUC) in Surathkal.

It is said that Arfaaz had come to Arbikatte falls near Kanchibail in Puthige GP limits on Sunday morning along with his friends. While his friends got into water near the falls, Arfaaz got into water at a different location. However, he could not swim and cried for help. Noticing that Arfaaz is in trouble, the friends rushed to the spot and tried pulling him out using their clothes, but all efforts went futile.

Later, dead body of Arfaaz was retrieved with the help of locals. This happens to be second drowning case at Arbikatte falls over the last ten days.

Case has been registered.
