Ullal: In an incident that could only further fuel tension in Ullal area, Safwan (22), a fruit vendor who was attacked in Ullal by miscreants on Tuesday, April 26 succumbed to injuries in hospital on Saturday, April 30.
Safwan, a resident of Kallapu Patla was a banana vendor by profession.

He was attacked by a gang of five when he was on his way back home after finishing work.
Following the attack, Section 144 was clamped in Ullal, however, this could not prevent the attack spree, as even on Friday a youth from another community was attacked soon after the cops nabbed four persons in connection to attack on Safwan and few others.

The arrested had confessed that Safwan and others were attacked randomly, without any motive.
The death of Safwan may have negative impact as Ullal has already been seething under tension.

The dead body has been sent to AJ Hospital.
