Mangaluru: In the last two years, thieves have burgled this house four times. The fourth robbery attempt in the same house situated near Capitanio in the city occurred on July 14.

The house belongs to retired chief administrative officer of Legal Services Authority P Narayanan, who originally hails from Kasargod. He is settled in Capitanio from many years. Earlier Narayanan had complained to Mangaluru Rural police regarding the serial theft cases at his residence. But no action was taken. Now fed up with the police inaction, he has written to CM Siddaramaiah for help. He has also sought Rs 8 lac compensation for the loss.

Narayanan along with his family had gone to Kasargod to meet his ailing mother-in-law. When they returned they came to know about the robbery. The thieves have decamped with gold and cash. Though CCTV has been installed it was not functioning.
