Mangaluru: Four cows died after a vehicle carrying cattle turned turtle near Karingana in Kalladka on Sunday morning.
According to sources, the vehicle in which 15 cows were transported, toppled after driver lost the control due to overspeeding. The accident occured because the cattle were being transported illegally. The transporters escaped leaving the vehicle behind.

Bantwal town police seized the lorry and the cattle and are further investigating to find the whereabouts of the transporters.
