Four accused of cattle theft nabbed by Bantwal Police

Bantwal: Based on the credible information regarding cattle theft in the town, the Bantwal Police nabbed four accused here on Tuesday, April 30.

The accused are Imran alias Kuttu Imran (31), Jainuddin (22), Hidayathulla (24) and Farroq aka Malik (29), all residents of Padu village.

The police said that a Maruti Ritz car used in the theft was seized and around four cattle stolen from different places were also recovered.

The accused have several cases of cattle theft, physical assault and riots in Bantwal Rural, Bantwal Town, Vitla, Punjalkatte, Vamanjoor, Kavoor, Konaje, Ullal, Somwarapet, Kushalnagar, Sakleshpur, Bajpe, Madikeri and Shanivarasanthe police stations.

All the accused were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Bantwal Circle Inspector Sharan Gowda, SI Prasanna, PSIs Vinod and Jamburaj Mahajan, head constables Suresh, Janardhan, Madhav Gowda and Radhakrishna, PCs Nazeer, Manoj, Subramanya and Vishalakshi were involved in the operation.
