Accordingly, the forum wants to set up an office and a volunteer will be stationed there for the entire working hours of the corporation. When complaints are received, the volunteer would take up the matter with officers concerned and the higher-ups, Kotian said and added that the help desk would be functional in a month.

He said the help desk would also work as a citizens’ grievance redressal centre.

The forum asked the help of the public to ensure that they don’t pay for their work done, instead approach the forum for help.

Kotian encouraged citizens to join the forum to uproot corruption in the government offices.

Ward committees

Taking a cue from the recent statement of High court of Karnataka, the forum has also sought that the ward committees be constituted in all wards to meet the problem of the citizens.
