Mangaluru: Former MLA Mohiuddin Bava has expressed outrage by saying those who come to power in the name of protecting cows are not coming forward to protect Goshalas.

Speaking at a press conference at a private hotel here he said, Our country is the number one exporter of beef today. After the demolition of Kapila goshala, the cattle are orphaned. We are deeply saddened by the demolition of the goshala. The BJP government did not make any alternative arrangements for the cows.

He donated Rs. 1 lakh to the Goshala. The cheque was handed over to Prakash Shetty, the owner of the Goshala. He said he will personally collect the donations from the public.

“I will sincerely effort to secure the benefits of the government in this regard,” he added.
