Mangaluru: One of the leading hotels in the city, Ocean Pearl has introduced ‘Meenu Gammath’, a thali which has foodies thronging in for treating their taste buds with sumptuous coastal sea food.

Coral, the multi-cuisine family restaurant at Kodialbail, Mangaluru which was in the business of tickling the taste buds since some time now, seems to have caught up quite well among fish lovers, considering the number of food lovers who turned up at the restaurant on Tuesday, July 5.

To break this down in a simple way, it’s nothing but a Fish Thali but with exotic and mouth-watering seafood. The food spread at first sight would increase one’s appetite. Varieties of fish like King Fish (Anjal), Sardines (Boothai), Ademeen, Silver fish, Prawns roasted in ghee, neer dosa, rice, fish curry, sambar, papad, Payasam will instantly attract anyone who even passes by.

The term ‘Thali’ is commonly found in the Indian cuisine dictionary. India is known for ‘Unity in diversity’ and the same can be said for the Thali system in India. Thali culture in India is not new. It’s existing since ages and prevalent in every corner of Indian society, right from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh.
