Mangalore:Ramachandrapura Mutt seer Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji ingaurated the Flexi pack unit to be set up by the DK District Milk Co-operative Union wason Thursday 8th Oct.
The total cost of the unit is 26.5 crore and it is funded by NABARD and Karnataka Milk Federation. This unit will have a capacity of producing 6000 litres of milk in flexi packets, in an hour.
In his inagural address Ramachandrapura Mutt seer Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji said, “increasing number of goshalas is not a healthy trend and it dosen’t reflect all is well for cows.” He further said, “cows should be reared at farmers house and cow rearing should be made economically viable.”
He also called upon the authorities concerned to provide sucoor to farmers.
Raviraj Hegde, President of the Union presided over the function.MLA JR Lobo,Rajendra Kumar, SCDCC Bank Chairman, AN Premnath,KMF Managing Director, Dr BV Satyanarayana,Managing Director of DK District Milk Co-operative Union, Bhasker K, Corporator and others were present.
